Time is a Traveller | David HarrisDavid Harris is well known for his leading roles in a number of stage musicals and already has a strong legion of fans. It is with pleasure therefore that we are able to sit back and watch this talented performer work his magic in an intimate setting, singing a selection of songs from his career while reminiscing about his early life.

Growing up outside Newcastle, Harris makes it clear that he was an unlikely candidate for musical theatre. His stories, told in an easy, laid-back style, are often hilarious, as he recounts a musical journey from his first leading role in school (Superman) to the glory days of performing on the RSL Club circuit.

His lovely (untrained) tenor voice sings selections ranging from classic standard ballads such as The Way You Look Tonight and The Recipe for Love to stunning renditions of notable show tunes (Bring Him Home is one of many standouts). The show highlights most of his career achievements, from The Full Monty to Miss Saigon

And to cap it off he manages to include a few duets with a leading lady (Amanda Harrison performs the Melbourne shows).

The fact that he is charming, funny and far too good looking, simply adds to the mix. Does that make him a quadruple threat?

Ably accompanied by David Cameron on piano and guitar, this is an evening to savour.

Harris is off to the bright lights of New York soon, so this is a wonderful chance for any music theatre fan to enjoy and even discover a thing or two about one of our favourite leading men.

The show travels to Brisbane and Newcastle. Don't miss out!
